As well as offering a premium custom fitting service on a daily basis the Professional Shop proudly hosts 4 - 6 demo days a year.
Repairs and Regripping
The Professional Shop offers a very wide range of grips; Superstroke, Lamkin and Golf Pride. Our professionally trained team can re-grip your golf clubs for you within 24 hours and often while you wait. All grips in the Professional Shop can be fitted free of charge. The Professional Shop also offer a repair service for any broken clubs.

The Professional Team
Alex James - PGA Head Professional
Alex took over at Sand Moor Golf Club in March 2018 having previously spent 7 years as the Head Professional at Catterick Golf Club. Prior to that Alex worked at Oulton Hall and Royal St. David’s Golf Club after turning Professional in 2004.
As a player, Alex was the Welsh Assistant Professional’s Champion in 2005 & 2006, has competed on the Challenge Tour and has won a number of local and regional PGA events. Alex still competes in a few events each year.
Alex’s coaching philosophy is based on establishing strong swing fundamentals, developing effective practice routines and playing processes to improve course management. Alex is also a Superspeed Certified Coach.

Before moving to Sand Moor Golf Club Glen previously worked with Alex at Catterick Golf Club and was Head of Golf Services at Romanby Golf & Country Club.
Over the past 6 years as a professional Glen has achieved several top 10 finishes in PGA events. In 2018 Glen qualified for the English PGA Championships at Saunton Golf Club and finished 5th in Yorkshire PGA Trainees OOM.
Glen’s coaching philosophy is that no individual swing should be the same and tailored to ones goals and physical capabilities.
Glen is also Head of the Junior Academy at Sand Moor and has a huge passion for junior development. In 2019 Sand Moor Juniors won the Leeds & District Junior Cup and he continues to work on strengthening the team.
